Is there yet any seed left in the barn? Until now, the vine and the fig tree, the pomegranate and the olive tree have not borne fruit. "From this day on I will bless you. (Haggai 2:19)
Have you experienced a season of scarcity either spiritually or needs wise? Here is a promise for you from the Lord to bless you from this day.
The question that often troubled the Israelites in their 40 year wandering in the desert was, “Can the Lord do yet another miracle?” They had seen the sea split apart and walked through it’s midst, they had tasted the sweet water which was earlier bitter at Marah, they had seen the heavens pour down manna, still they doubted God when they were in the next trying situation.
God is faithful and asks us to believe that He can do the impossible even today. So can we just believe without asking a question?
Elijah never asked God why He had chosen the brook Kerith or why He had chosen the widow of Zarephath for him. He just believed that God knew what was best for him and obeyed. He never even questioned God as to why He should show himself to King Ahab who was searching to kill him, but went when God’s command came to him. Faith and obedience both count.
The Bible says,
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6, 7, 19)
