The LORD was with Joseph and he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. (Genesis 39:2)
Joseph, sold by his brothers to the Ishmaelite merchants was bought by Potiphar, a captain of the guard in Egypt.
We read in Genesis 39:
When his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD gave him success in everything he did, Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned. From the time he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the Lord blessed the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph. The blessing of the Lord was on everything Potiphar had, both in the house and in the field. So he left in Joseph's care everything he had; with Joseph in charge, he did not concern himself with anything except the food he ate…. (Genesis 39: 3-6)
Read this part carefully.
The Bible says, “From the time Potiphar put Joseph in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the Lord blessed the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph.”
God blessed an unbeliever like Potiphar because Joseph was working for him.
You as a believer may be working for a non-believer company or firm, but did you know that because of you God is blessing the institution that you are working in?
Do not underestimate your role in the heights/glory that the institution is reaching. Perhaps no one may know it or some people like Potiphar and his wife may even not give due credit to you for the same, but you are precious in God’s sight.
Not only that, if you are the only one saved in your family, God will bless the other members in your family because of you. The Bible says,
"Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the LORD: Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn; look to Abraham, your father, and to Sarah, who gave you birth. When I called him he was but one, and I blessed him and made him many. (Isaiah 51:1, 2)
So walk your faith. You will receive your reward one day.
